Re: WREXTER's BUILD - Electrical Plan Added page. 10 228Oct 18, 2010 8:01 pm My vote is for Cambridge as that's what we have chosen. I find Rockport a bit 'busy'. Re: WREXTER's BUILD - Electrical Plan Added page. 10 229Oct 18, 2010 8:06 pm We had the same issues. In the end we got the Cambridge throughout. Its a classic design and as there are bigger sqaures theres less grooves all over the door for the dust to fall in and easier to clean. Too many squares often looks a bit over the top and busy. Plus we saw this door in a Ross North Display on double doors and it looked fantastic. We had to change a few items around to suit: -added brused steel kickboard -upgraded HWU to Rinnai infinity 26 -added downlight to underside of overhead cupboard in kitchen -upgraded pantry/ensuite/master bedroom doors -chose Chose solver rosewood for front door stain I was pretty dissapointed with New Gens range of kitchen and bathroom cupboard handles. Went to Laminex showroom and they had a much better range which actually works out the same if we remove handles from contract and buy them from Laminex and fit them. Also went and had a look at IKEA Pax WIR systems, I should be able to implement them into our WIR and should work out cheaper than getting custom done. I should probably get a quote done just to make sure. WIll let you guys know when we sign final contracts Re: WREXTER's BUILD - Electrical Plan Added page. 10 236Nov 09, 2010 2:01 pm just waiting on quote for under overhead cupboard lights, expecting it in next couple of days then we will sign off on addenda and drawings. once that is done, its scheduling for 4-6 weeks. either slab down just before christmas or just after. i prefer just after, i have heard of horror stories where slab was poured before christmas and due to the break, the slab wasnt properly cared for and started to crack etc. Re: WREXTER's BUILD - Electrical Plan Added page. 10 237Nov 09, 2010 2:02 pm luke81 Our kitchen handle selection was not huge either. We deleted them too and will get others later. When is your slab going down? Laminex showroom have a great selection of handles at decent prices, if you know of any other place with good selection of handles and toilet roll holders at good prices let me know, left them off too :p Re: WREXTER's BUILD - Electrical Plan Added page. 10 238Nov 09, 2010 2:14 pm Ideally we do not want handles on our overhead cupboards. However all the others we want big long handles. Bunnings had some too. I have not looked at Laminex yet. Will do though. Toilet roll holders we got from Tradelink. Re: WREXTER's BUILD - Electrical Plan Added page. 10 239Nov 09, 2010 3:13 pm Wrexter, sounds like we're at the same stage, tho we might be held up by titles yet. I was the same about the slab, on one hand I want it down now but on the other it might be better to wait til after xmas. We just got the standard toilet roll holders, they aren't terrible and its the same as dh picked to replace ours a few weeks ago (co-incidentally!) my new build thread- Ben Trager https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=89826 my switch build thread (2011) https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=36569 Re: WREXTER's BUILD - Electrical Plan Added page. 10 240Nov 11, 2010 11:28 am Wrexter you may just need to grab a hosepipe and spend the holidays watering the block if they pour the slab pre xmas. Joe Apologies for the delay in getting back to you. If you haven't sorted this already you need to caulk this gap. Not sure where you are but if you are in Sydney I can… 5 4324 7 2988 4 6006 |
