It looks too busy. I would be looking at the wall instead of the TV! I remember seeing a raised deck in the master bedroom in one of the major builder's display homes. It really looked quite lovely but I wouldn't fancy having my bed on one and trying to get to the bathroom in the middle of the night. Negotiating the steps whilst half asleep could lead to a few problems sooner or later!
