Not quite sure of the colour but it's a Citroen automotive colour. We were trying to achieve the "Java Dusk Metallic" like Suh's daughter. Not quite the same but we are happy with the outcome. http://i894.photobucket.com/albums/ac150/benschke/Kitchen-Living/New%20Kitchen/IMG_0637.jpg http://i894.photobucket.com/albums/ac150/benschke/Kitchen-Living/New%20Kitchen/IMG_0636.jpg http://i894.photobucket.com/albums/ac150/benschke/Kitchen-Living/New%20Kitchen/IMG_0639.jpg Cheers. So good to see these 2 similar colours in both glass and tile version! Any larger pics of yours, Lou? Troy, is your benchtop Ice Snow c/stone? So good to see these 2 similar colours in both glass and tile version! Any larger pics of yours, Lou? Troy, is your benchtop Ice Snow c/stone? I wish Lex!! Unfortunately we live in a rural area & there wasn't much competition when it came to our kitchen so we settled on Laminex Pure Mineralstone. Our supplier quoted $7k on top for Ceaserstone benchtops. I am kind of glad you have mistaken it for Ceaserstone though!! Re: Show Us Your Splashback 33Oct 13, 2010 7:46 pm There are some gorgeous splashbacks posted, i love that people all have different tastes and there are so many contrasts and ideas used. We didn't go for glass as we had too many cutouts, and as we have built by water, i wanted something that reminded of water. It is a glass tile with a metallic silver background, quite thick and the tiler said was a buggar to install. but the final effect was just what I was after. http://i662.photobucket.com/albums/uu350/davdenwa/AugustPhotosofbrindabella008.jpg http://i662.photobucket.com/albums/uu350/davdenwa/AugustPhotosofbrindabella014.jpg http://i662.photobucket.com/albums/uu350/davdenwa/AugustPhotosofbrindabella010.jpg Re: Show Us Your Splashback 34Oct 14, 2010 5:55 pm Eskay40 Handmick.... What colour is that splashback, do you remember?? It is ' Red Desert'..i on starfire glass....is Red Desert a Dulux colour, coz that's the paint Henley use.... Re: Show Us Your Splashback 35Oct 14, 2010 9:34 pm Went for some close encouters at a splashback place, but was told that the colour at the back of the glass can be damaged (discoloured) if the gas flame touches the glass OR if I put a (presumably) hot pot against the glass. All this, and only 10 years warranty Plus, they told me that a pure white (on starphire) is only about 95% pure, there will still be a blue tinge. Was strongly advised not to use pure white with white cabinets. I can't notice this slight difference on other people's pictures (who have pure white on white). It looks so similar to the picture you posted I thought that was it. I couldn't find Desert Red on the Dulux or Taubmans sites so I'm not sure whose it is. Henley using Dulux on the walls doesn't necessarily mean the splashback company will use the same range. Looks fantastic. Can't wait for ours.
