Re: 2 pac or high gloss internal doors? 6Sep 30, 2010 3:12 pm McKinnon, find a house painter who has a 'HVLP spray gun' or an 'air assisted spray gun' who will spray your doors on site with enamel, this will provide close to a 2pack type finish, for little more than painting the doors by hand. remember that enamell will yellow if it is plain white. doors sprayed with water based enamel can also look very nice, will not yellow, and are hard wearing, though will not be anywhere near as shiny as 2pack/enamel enamel doors should be just as shiny as 2pack, but you cannot expect a house painter on site to get quite as good a finish as a spray painter in a spray booth. also, if your frames are the same colour as the doors they should be done in the same product, to ensure the age the same. Re: 2 pac or high gloss internal doors? 7Oct 11, 2010 11:30 am After about 10 phone calls I found someone to 2pac for $200 a door. The builder said ok, so they picked them up and guess what, the builder will cover the cost and he said you pay for the custom made front doors. I did the phoning not the builder Re: 2 pac or high gloss internal doors? 8May 23, 2020 4:23 pm McKinnon After about 10 phone calls I found someone to 2pac for $200 a door.
