I hope they helped answer your questions and gave you an update on your build. Let me know how everything is going and if you have any more questions. Cheers, Jess. Hi Jess, The slab has been fixed & I was contacted 4 times by the SS. The Frame will be fixed tomorrow & the sarking issue from pre-plaster inspection will be done on Monday. I will meet him onsite on Monday to go through all the repairs. I surely am a very happy customer now. PD is indeed the most professional builder, didn't have the same treatment from H or Big M when I had problem with them. Hi SSAZ, I am glad your slab has been fixed and you have been contacted by your SS, that's great news. Looks like everything is running smoothly, I hope it continues to do so. Let me know how you progress and if you have any more questions. Cheers & Goodluck -Jess. Porter Davis Homes Questions? And some of those are frustrating. to add to the list ... PD does not allow you to get a copy of the contract and think over it before you get to sign this. You find all these things once you have put down the deposit. I cannot sleep over the contract before signing it and changes after the contract signing is a big no no .... sometimes you wonder if you are a customer or not .... We would not go with PD or rather even recommend to anyone. Hi 46fan, I am sorry to hear you have experienced difficulties with your build and understand your frustration. I've had a look into this for you to try and help you out. Blank HIA contracts are available at any time during your search for a home, and prior to Porter Davis taking a deposit. At your actual contract signing, your individual contract is presented with your specific choices and requests for the home along with the relevant drawings. You can arrange a second appointment if you want to go away and think about the contract prior to signing. I'm sorry if this wasn't explained to you before for whatever reasons, but maybe I can help you out. If you would like to send me a private message with your Name, Phone Number, and the details of the house you are building and where, I can get in contact with you and discuss it further. Let me know if you have any more questions. Cheers, Jess. I'm currently building with Carlisle. I had the contract meeting and was able to take the contract home and read over for about a week before I signed it. No one should be pressured to sign any contract on the spot without having the opportunity to make sure they know what they are signing is correct.. Just crazy I think!!! Re: Porter Davis homes 299Oct 04, 2010 8:00 am Natural Timber Flooring Hi All, I know this thread has been done before, and I've scanned a few areas but still have some questions. My wife and I really want to have natural timber, not engineered timber installed in our new PD Home. Has anyone had experience with an approved tradesman being granted access to install as part of the contract? I understand that they prefer to not delay their build timings but we are keen to get feedback from anyone who had success with their CSA or SS, or any other viable options. Thanks You are able to install your own floorcoverings after handover. We had ours installed the day after handover and then the appliances the day after that. Three options 1 Ask the liquidator 2 Find another PD customer and ask the source of their report 3 Pay for new report 3 12320 Ask for references and speak to them. If they are defensive or try to avoid the request, walk. 1 74688 I would never build with Fowler homes. I built with them in 2021 and till date maintenance issues are pending.
