May I ask where you bought that from? Mandi Hi Mandi, these can be bought at any electrical supplier retailer. Re: island bench powerpoints - photos please 11Sep 10, 2010 10:32 am Here's a pic from elsewhere on the fourm. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ We haven't ended up with an island bench in this house, but in a previous house we were going to build, we were going to have it like the pic above. I'd prefer it on the side than on the back of the bench. It would drive me mad walking around to plug things in and out and I'd also worry if I had littlies that they could pull the cord from that side and pull something down on themselves. I know this is a possibility no matter where the powerpoint is, but it's much harder to see on the other side of the bench. I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. Terrence Malick Re: island bench powerpoints - photos please 12Sep 10, 2010 12:17 pm we were thinking of adding one of these into our benchtop. Not quite yet decided, though... From the clipsal website. I also really like the one that Nathan posted earlier. Re: island bench powerpoints - photos please 13Sep 10, 2010 1:28 pm I put mine at the end of the bench on the overhang. Just used straightforward white PP's with white C/stone. Worked fantastically. Wasnt noticable - when anyone asked about PP I had to show them - even though they walked straight past them Re: island bench powerpoints - photos please 14Sep 24, 2010 11:57 pm thanks everyone. this has really helped. we've asked the builder to put one powerpoint under the overhang (i hadn't thought of it as an option - will be great for laptop). we're leaving the other one on the end of the bench as isn't as important aesthetically and will be more convenient on the end. Re: island bench powerpoints - photos please 15Sep 25, 2010 7:38 am southies, shellb78 and brb_654, I have a question for each of you. I'm finalising my kitchen design and need to work out the bench and waterfall thickness. May I ask what thickness bench and waterfall edge do you have? Cheers, Casa Demolition August 2009, Construction Started September 2009, Completed December 2010 Re: island bench powerpoints - photos please 18Sep 25, 2010 2:43 pm For those of you with them on the end of the island - do you find they get bumped when there is something plugged in? It's too late for us, I guess, as I have ordered the kitchen with it in there, but I've been worrying a little that it isn't really a very safe position and won't get used as a result. Re: island bench powerpoints - photos please 19Sep 25, 2010 4:53 pm I've got mine at the end of the bench too. It will only be used for the ironing. In my case it won't get bumped since there is an ironing board beside it whenever something is plugged in. I bought 3 of them for $125 each. The ones I have come with two plugs in each not the one in the photograph.
