He was able to make legal threats to the bank and bully them into settling on time, after they had dropped the ball. Thanks a lot zeitgeber and everyone else. I had already gone to Home Conveyancing, and they were very helpful in going through the contract and explaining what it all means. Looked pretty standard to me. So, we've decided to go with them and hopefully we won't need a solicitor (touch wood). Hi Zeitgeber, hope you still around. Just bought a land and need solicitor to do settlement and to go through the building contract. Your law firm might be the best option for me. We opted to use a Solicitor - purely as they were the guys we had used for the sale of our house a couple of months prior.
