Thankfully there are always Tim Tams Re: Virtual interior raised deck! 15Sep 02, 2010 10:20 am It is interesting that they went to all the trouble of creating the feature and laying a timber floor and steps and YET still used scotia on the steps. You would think that with a display home that is showcasing a newish concept, you would get the all the elements spot on. Re: Virtual interior raised deck! 16Sep 02, 2010 10:23 am is scotia the quad? I know a lot of ppl who have built with PD and the other volume builders couldn't get floors done without quad, so maybe they don't want to show something that can't be done?? Re: Virtual interior raised deck! 17Sep 23, 2010 9:15 am From what I've heard of other home owners and tradies is that plasterers don't like to do square-set but you'll bet they've done it on their own home! I did our living area square-set and it's quite tricky but the difference is amazing. Re: Virtual interior raised deck! 18Oct 14, 2010 12:03 pm Yeah I absolutely love the square set cornices but it is bloody expenisve to do. The builder we eventually went with would not even do it. It looks too busy. I would be looking at the wall instead of the TV! I remember seeing a raised deck in the master bedroom in one of the major builder's display homes. It really looked quite lovely but I wouldn't fancy having my bed on one and trying to get to the bathroom in the middle of the night. Negotiating the steps whilst half asleep could lead to a few problems sooner or later! Re: Virtual interior raised deck! 20Nov 13, 2010 5:47 pm That designer should be sacked - i hate adding tripping hazards into a home, and for what? So you can step up and look at that horrible stone cladding? NO THANKS! I am looking for someone who might have tackled a similar issue as me.
