They really are too scary. It's not like looking at a new house and saying what colours should I use. I'd just like opinions on the Hog Bristle 1/2, 1/4 in a room with not much light. And will it look Ok with a white polyurethane kitchen. And should I use it in the bathroom. therefore it will be in every room. Too much? Or better to use something else. May buy different tiles now so can get any colour. Thanks for the response. I usually post in the finance, real estate sections as that's more my thing. Re: Reno colours help needed. 5Sep 02, 2010 10:16 am I am not a decorator or color specialist but anyway.... I have just painted a room in which one section is very dark. I also liked Hog's Bristle, but after trying lots of color samples on the wall I decided on Dulux Off White walls (I have white ceiling and trims), as it gave more 'life' to the area than other whites. I am using Hogs Bristle on one beam and possibly one wall that does get light, but I found 1/4,1/2, full Hog's Bristle not quite right for the dark area. I ma very happy with the choice so far Re: Reno colours help needed. 6Sep 02, 2010 11:13 am We are going for 1/8 Spanish white with the ceilings and 1/4 Spanish white for our walls. (I think). Both are from Resene. Re: Reno colours help needed. 7Sep 02, 2010 12:48 pm travelbug I'd just like opinions on the Hog Bristle 1/2, 1/4 in a room with not much light. It's not too much to use it in every room but unless you have a large and light bathroom, that would be better painted white. It's hard to go wrong with a white bathroom (although it would be worthwhile sealing the grout if you use white or light grout). IMO your original post was a bit of a stream of consciousness and asked a lot of different questions in one post; this didn't make it easy to reply to.
