Absolute vomit fest. LOL, i was waiting to see who'd bring up this one!!! OK picture "Barbie's" ideal kitchen in your mind, what would it look like??? Seriously, it was "Barbie" hot pink for the cabinetry with white benchtops and splashback tiles and the walls were painted lime green... LOL, it was the husband that chose the not pink colour of the cabinets too!!! Mrs B, the pic you posted looks tasteful, this one was definitely not my cup of tea......LOL but each to their own i say!!!! Re: Page 23, Herald Sun Home magazine april 19th 5Apr 20, 2008 9:57 am Hi Dan
I saw that kitchen. I mean, is that the best they come up with for this magazine? I enjoy getting my Saturday Herald Sun and its lift out magazine, because it often has useful renovation tips and pictures. I'm all for individuality, but that kitchen was truly ridiculous. It just screams "Look at me, look at me, I want to be different and tell EVERYBODY about it!" Dear oh dear. Oh, yeah, they were different alright, but it shows such lack of taste, talent and intelligence. It takes a truly talented soul to pull off bold modern renovations such as Mrs B's pic. Now THAT kitchen works. I wouldn't have it in my place, but it's appealing, unique and obviously well-designed and thought out. Re: Page 23, Herald Sun Home magazine april 19th 6Apr 20, 2008 5:20 pm hey guys,
that kitchen was mine....................... Only joking!! i thought the same thing until i read the article, apparently now - her kids like to be in the kitchen and help with stuff. it was very barbie-ish but if it brings the family together then it's a great kitchen i reckon!!!
