We bought our Bosch dishwasher from them - much cheaper then the local stores, no-one would even price match. Plus super fast delivery. Some things are worth waiting for. Re: Kitchen appliances- where to go?? 6Aug 26, 2010 10:20 am albi You don't mention where you are but if you are in Melbourne then E&S Trading are very good and will do good deals when you purchase a few things. Thanks for replies guys! I've updated my location, I didn't realise it wasn't coming up : P I checked out E&S Trading in Moorabbin a few weeks ago.. I didn't have a chat with any sales guys there but price tags weren't that competitive i found? Or are they just indicative 'price tags' only, and real prices are all up for negotiation? And is there any particular store that you've shopped? Cheers! I went in with a budget and a pen and paper, walked around, wrote down everything I wanted and then found I had spent too much. But when I talkied to one of the sales guys there, the package price came in at 40% less than the marked prices....our kitchen tap went from $1750 marked price to $715 in the package!! Moorabin was the store we used. Thanks Kyton, and another site that I've just found is http://www.theappliancewarehouse.com.au they seem to be quite competitive as well. Re: Kitchen appliances- where to go?? 11Aug 26, 2010 11:00 am My tips, Go in with a pen and paper, write up a list of everything you want (don't engage any salesman). Note brand, model number and floor price. Leave store, take list home and copy but delete floor prices. Take the list back to the store a few days later and get a salesman you like to price it up for you. Make sure you get ALL the things you need. Don't forget ducting for rangehoods, ducting for dryers, bodies for mixers, fascias for built in microwaves, drains for baths etc etc etc. Ask the sales guy with each item if anything else is required as all these little extras are expensive if you don't buy within the package. You can get all your tapware and bathware and plumbing at E&S as well so you should be able to package everything. The only thing I would say is the E&S tends to be mid to high end so if you want to really work to a very tight budget with lesser brands there may be cheaper places. I didn't think about all those little items! btw, i've changed my ID here because I think 'gunman' is quite a negative name to have...I kind of picked it in a hurry when I was registering...I think I was reading a news article about gunman then. Re: Kitchen appliances- where to go?? 13Aug 26, 2010 1:22 pm I did alot of research regaring our kitchen appliances (fridge, dishwasher, washing machine and microwave) online finished. Checked out all the website. Printed all the prices out of each item from each store. I drove down to DFO Essendon on a saturday with all the prices and when to The good Guys first to see if they can be a better deal. But on some items they could and others they said no. I went upstairs to E&S trading with the prices I got from Good Guys and the prints out. They matched all prices and improved on them. My vote is for E&S trading. Re: Kitchen appliances- where to go?? 14Aug 26, 2010 4:36 pm I bought a washing machine from AppliancesOnline. Great service and price. I think purchased all my kitchen appliances (just Westinghouse stuff, so nothing fancy) during E&S's EOFY sale. Their online prices (matched in store) were significantly cheaper than anything I'd seen (used AppliancesOnline as a reference whom Good Guys squirmed to just match). After all that, I even nudged em a bit to include delivery . I've so far changed delivery dates with E&S like 3 times and each time they're polite - you get the feeling that they're an old fashioned customer pleasing business. So yeah, I would say Appliances Online and E&S trading make a great combo Re: Kitchen appliances- where to go?? 15Aug 27, 2010 9:30 am Thanks Sheepdog! I'm going to check out Essendon store on this weekend (as i've been Moorabbin once already) I find this forum really helpful and saves a lot of time! Thank you all for sharing your tips and experience! Hope I can contribute more to the forum too as I go! Re: Kitchen appliances- where to go?? 16Aug 30, 2010 9:04 am Well I have visted ES Trading yesterday and they ended up confusing me with their new dazzling display of Scholtes and Siemens ovens and rangehoods their prices quite steep I have to say. Cooktop 750mm loooks like I have to choose Bosch. 2 Drawer dishwasher F&P. Has anyone heard or have Scholtes and or Siemens ovens? Thanks Re: Kitchen appliances- where to go?? 17Aug 30, 2010 9:35 am grinder Well I have visted ES Trading yesterday and they ended up confusing me with their new dazzling display of Scholtes and Siemens ovens and rangehoods their prices quite steep I have to say. Very good, the build quality is exceptional. Yes they are more expensive than most but in my opinion, an oven is something you are likely to have for 15 years and getting one you are happy with up front is worth paying for. Re: Kitchen appliances- where to go?? 18Aug 30, 2010 11:18 am I was told ES had fairly competitive price by a friend so I went there last weekend to see what the fuss was about. Couldn't believe the prices... a 1 3/4 sink for over $1k? and taps were mostly close to $1k as well? I don't know what's so good about them over something that's $200 down the road at the local bathroom/kitchen supplier? Ended up getting everything from Good Guys price beating appliance online and harvey norman. I think I made comment before, E&S is not budget stuff, it sells mainly mid to high range so not the place I would go to for budget. I dunno, I bought Westinghouse stuff from there, so fairly basic I don't recommend bathroom stuff from there thought, just appliances. And as other posters have mentioned, don't take the sticker price as anything to go by. Aim for atleast 30% off I'd say, during the EOFY sale I got about 40% off I think. No. It's not original. Circa early to mid 90s would be my guess and maybe even as late as early 2000s 1 6632 2 4680 that will depend on the kitchen bench depth. you'll have to specify it so it allows for both the tap and the sink 1 7394 |
