I can't remember the name except that Baulkham Hills Landscape Supplies sell it, it's usually used for concrete pavers, it comes in a 5 or 10L metal container like a paint can and is very expensive. They liken it to liquid gold because of the cost. I've got it on my pavers and bathroom tiles. This fellow who did my sealing also suggested heavily diluting the sealer and using it to clean the floor tiles. Re: SUGGESTIONS ON GROUT SEALING PRODUCTS 8Aug 18, 2010 11:44 pm TonyL Sure Seal have one of the best sealers on the market. No yellowing and is perfect for grout. You shouldn't use it on glazed glazed ceramic tiles because they don't need to be sealed. Thee're not porous and the glaze stops the sealer from penetrating into the tile. If you've sealed them and now they look hazy, it's because the residue from the sealer is sitting on to pf the tiles. To fix the problem, simply apply some of the sealer to the tiles, to reactivate the residue, them buff it off with a towelling cloth before the sealer dries. Hope this helps. Tony Groutworx Tony, whats the differance between the aerosol and liquid sealer from Sure Seal? Re: SUGGESTIONS ON GROUT SEALING PRODUCTS 9Aug 19, 2010 9:02 am thanks for your help everyone Yeah I'd like to know the difference between the aerosol and liquid for sure seal. In my showers I am using one called "shower plug" that you brush on whole shower, my friend had used it many of times when he does his reno's and he said its great and it lasts 10 years. I dont think the aerosol for sure seal will last that long maybe 12-24 months. Thats ok, we will just re-do it as its easy enough. I only want to do the grout though, rather then spraying the whole floor. I would if you will see streak marks? Shouldn't do as our tiles are a matt finish. Thanks again for all your help. Re: SUGGESTIONS ON GROUT SEALING PRODUCTS 10Aug 19, 2010 9:04 am Oh by the way, i have heard so much of tony from groutworx and called him for a price but he wont come to Drouin!! Such a shame Tony, but I understand! You do such great work, maybe one day you will get big enough and expand Re: SUGGESTIONS ON GROUT SEALING PRODUCTS 11Aug 25, 2010 6:04 pm kek I think it might have been Sureseal that I used.... if I remember, I'll go check amongst the paint cans in the garage tonight and find out for you. I just painted it on, and it wasn't a big deal. And no yellowing either. Hi kek, how did you go in the garage? You used the liquid one by the sounds of it? Re: SUGGESTIONS ON GROUT SEALING PRODUCTS 12Aug 31, 2010 12:10 pm What's the difference between the aerosol and liquid sealer from Sure Seal? It's the same. The Sure Seal Grout & Tile Aerosol is the same product as the liquid Sure Seal Gold Label Impregnator. The Aerosol is used mainly for sealing grout lines or small tile areas, whereas the liquid is for sealing larger tile and grout jobs. The liquid is more economical for these larger jobs.
