Browse Forums Paving & Concreting Re: slab approved SUBJECT TO ? 2Jul 31, 2010 8:35 pm cocopops the builder did all the prep work for the slab and when the building surveyor inspected prior to concrete pour the works were APPROVED SUBJECT TO SOME MINOR ITEMS BEING ADDRESSED and a reinspection was to be done. The builder supposedly attended to these minor items however he poured the concrete before a reinspection was done by the building surveyor. Reluctantly the building surveyor passed the slab based on the builders email to him assuring/advising that the minor items were addressed before the concrete pour. Does this in any way effect the building surveyors approval etc/compliance issues on his certificate of inspections etc. Does it effect the resale of the property or the s32 in any way ??? I would ask the builder for photos of the 'closed' out items and then tell them what they did was not acceptable Re: slab approved SUBJECT TO ? 4Aug 02, 2010 7:37 am tell him that you won't be paying the slab invoice until after you have received the photos. Re: slab approved SUBJECT TO ? 5Aug 02, 2010 9:37 am unfortunately he has already been paid. in hindsight that is exactly what i s/d have done. the building surveyoe passed the inspection based on the builders undertaking that he completed the slab as per engineers specs. w/d this condition appear on the building surveyors final report. i understand that the surveyor usually shows the different stages with the dates of approval. w/d the slab stage appear as passed BUT SUBJECT TO something ? or w/s it appear as PASSED. does anybody know ????
