Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Jul 27, 2010 2:01 pm G'day, building in Biloela,Central Queensland we have just been informed by the buider that the soil test came back class E. Has anyone else built on an E site and have you had any ongoing issues. Our builder says everything will be alright its just that the foundations will have to be upgraded(600 slab instead of 400 and 20mm rio)We were expecting a H site and thats what we were quoted for but the E site should only cost an extra 6000 - 8000 dollars for a 436sqm house. This puts additional stress on you slab and therefore requires a more heavily engineered slab. mmm....donuts Homer Simpson 1956- Links: Site Costs Ready Reckoner | H1 Addiction Medical Advice | Château TDL: The Backyard Three options 1 Ask the liquidator 2 Find another PD customer and ask the source of their report 3 Pay for new report 3 13517 We were lucky in that our old house was so small (86 square metres) compared to the new house, they were able to take enough readings around the old backyard house before… 8 37960 Hi Building Expert, Thank you for the feedback, much appreciated, there is also a code of conduct for building surveyors which they need to follow as well.
