Re: HELP AND ADVISE ON CLEAN CONCRETE OR MORTAR FROM BRICKWO 3Mar 16, 2010 5:02 pm Mortar being reasonably sandy will come off pretty easy with a wire or stiff brush then getting a high pressure hose to it. If it is concrete or something a bit harder than mortar try a 10:1 hydrochloric acid mix and water (make sure you add acid to water no other way round), give it a bit of a scrub which will loosen it then use the high pressure.
