I completely forgot to add ceiling heating duct in the ensuite and bathroom! Will try and contact our CSC to see if it's still possible to add it now! Does anyone know how much PD charge to add ceiling heating duct in the bathroom? Also, is a garden tap a normal inclusion? I can't seem to find it in our house plan drawing? Thanks! I wanted three added, but could only do one unless we upgraded to a bigger unit. Can't remember the cost, but it was three years ago anyway, so probably not very helpful. The backyard outdoor tap should be marked on your plan with an asterisk kind of thing. Depending on the floor plan, the usual locations are near the laundry door or the rear of the garage. The front tap won't be marked - that will be wherever the meter ends up. I highly recommend adding an extra tap - or even two if your house is big. Garden hoses are never long enough.... We now have three in the back yard. One at the side, near our outdoor entertaining area, one behind the garage, and one right down the back of the house. Re: Things you forget 94Jun 13, 2010 8:58 pm Thanks Rowena & Kek! I found the garden tap! You're right, it's marked with an asterisk and is near the laundry door! I'll speak to our CSC next week regarding the additional duct, if it's not possible to add another one, do you think I should go with heater lights instead? Re: Things you forget 95Jun 13, 2010 11:38 pm This thread is great. Wish we'd found it earlier as we've just commenced the construction stage with the Big M. We've been told we cannot make any changes now. Has anyone else building with them been able to request changes after construction started? Thanks for sharing. http://glenn-and-denhs-tribeca.blogspot.com/ Handover: Thurs 9th June!!! Fixing: forever and ever and ever...... Before you get your drive way paved, lay a 4" pvc pipe under it so that you or your retic fitter can pass a water pipe through it when installing reticulation in your garden. Re: 98Jul 08, 2010 10:44 am oztish * Pay TV, TV and Phone points in every single room - you never know... dedicated Phone only points are such old tech TV points and Data sockets. If done properly (smart wired/ structured) they all end up in one place then there is no need to double up on foxtel points aswell and just having "phone" points is very limiting what you can achive in a House... basic spec for any house is 2 x data (CAT6) + 1 x TV (RG6) to most rooms but exceptions are office add extra 2 x data on a different wall Kitchen 2 x data one for phone other as network point one behind the fridge... Re: Things you forget 100Jul 08, 2010 1:14 pm Great thread guys! Thanks heaps for your tips. One thing my partner reminded me of was to install a mecidine cabinet in the ensuite/ bathroom. Especially if you only have a single vanity with limited storage space! http://allyslilcastle.blogspot.com/ Depends what you're current inclusions are, but we're not including wardrobes and will just use second hand ones until we can save later on to get them built.
