Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry Re: Shower over bath....but no screen: am I nuts? 5Jun 12, 2010 6:16 pm We have a shower above our bath without a screen. It is only used when the oldies come over. We have a drain in the floor, so a shower screen is not essential. However, when the oldies are here, we put up a plastic shower screen on a plastic tube that rests on top of the tiles. Works great. And yes shower screens on baths are not nice Re: Shower over bath....but no screen: am I nuts? 6Jun 12, 2010 6:54 pm Quote: We have a drain in the floor, so a shower screen is not essential. I would of thought the main purpose of the screen was to keep people warm in the shower, rather than to protect the floor from splashes. My rational for putting a shower in is that the plumber is coming already and it is much easier to get a screen fitted in the future if we do end up using the shower, rather than regretting not having a shower Re: Shower over bath....but no screen: am I nuts? 8Jun 12, 2010 9:44 pm clairem free will We have a shower above our bath without a screen. I have attached a link below. We have a plastic tube with rings that the curtain attaches to. Our tiles go most of the way to the ceiling but not all the way and we have those thick feature tiles at the top. so we put the plastic tube on top http://www.vitafutura.com/curtains/deta ... ?fam=00241 Re: Shower over bath....but no screen: am I nuts? 10Jun 13, 2010 12:10 pm clairem Ahhh, so just a plastic shower curtain! I'm actually leaning more towards the idea of not having a shower at all now... Yes, but is in a cupboard most of the time as not used. Just get it out when guests stay You need to reference the manufactures installation guide, your supplier may have strengthened the base where it is not required to sit on a bed. 1 1815 2 4490 Your shower screen has failed in the way it is designed to fail with tempered glass. You could replace it with laminated safety glass but make sure it has AS standards logo on it 1 11163 |
