We're about to start a build and we're blaming Kevin McCloud… I have a BCA question regarding which way bathroom doors should open. Thanks, Markie ps we're in Victoria If you're not living on the edge you're taking up too much space… Re: Bathroom doors and the BCA 2May 27, 2010 8:04 am markielinhart a loo in it's own cubicle should have a door that opens out Why don't you get it straight from the horse's mouth (I did): http://www.abcb.gov.au I had to wait a day for a call back, but the person I spoke to was brilliant. Re: Bathroom doors and the BCA 3May 27, 2010 8:49 am The same would not apply to a bathroom with a toilet in it unless it was a very small room - its only if the toilet is so small that it would not be able to be opened in an emergency (ie because the person collapsed on the toilet would be blocking the door from opening in) So I guess it wouldnt apply to a larger room with just a toilet either - but in practice it is usually toilets in their own small room.
