Exciting stuff, the SS is hoping for Handover next Friday 4th June, or if not on the Monday 7th June. We pointed out all the usual paint touch ups to be done, two scratched windows, a scratched fascia, a scratch on the kitchen bench, a missing powerpoint, oh and the missing whirlybird . They still have to install the shower screens, robe doors and mirrors, also silcone everywhere. Oh and a bloody good clean too!! But apart from all those minor things everything looks beautiful The carpet was laid yesterday too so here's a few pics to enjoy 2pais Thats great walker 79. Like the diamond style of laying tiles at the entry. Did that cost a lot? 2pais, this was an extra that we paid to the tiler personally and it would vary between tilers. It cost us $150 but it cost a recent Coral buildee only $80 for the exact same thing, obviously a different tiler though. So good to hear that there are only minor things left to do ... you're so lucky to have your floors done before handover, you'll probably be in before us! I love your carpet and tiling, looks awesome. One week to go and it could be all yours http://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r228/imenuru48/Emoticons/Dancin.gifhttp://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r228/imenuru48/Emoticons/Dancin.gifhttp://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r228/imenuru48/Emoticons/Dancin.gif Re: Our Coral 'Hamilton 278'-PCI today-Pics 27/05 213May 28, 2010 4:58 pm 2pais Your carpet and tiles match well together. Can i ask what type they are? 2pais, Thanks, we are really happy with the match too. I love the carpet and hopefully it will help hide all those stains children make The tiles are from Beaumonts they're called 'Savvy Latte' (400x400) and the Carpet is part of Coral's standard Bronze range of carpet. It's by Beaulieu-(Bolyu), it's called Motorway and the colour is 'Desert Brown' Re: Our Coral 'Hamilton 278'-PCI today-Pics 27/05 214May 28, 2010 6:04 pm The carpet and tiles look great, covering up all that concrete really makes a house turn into a home. I haven't picked out carpet yet but going something like yours with the squares but in a gray tone. Not long to go now Walker!! I havnt picked my carpet colours yet. My floor tiles are light in colour so perhaps may go with greyish or brownish carpets. I am getting them laid externally with Carpet Call. Re: Our Coral 'Hamilton 278'-PCI today-Pics 27/05 216May 29, 2010 10:58 am I love your floor tiles! your colours look lovely! I also love your kitchen colours too Kylie handover happened 15/6/09...love living on an acre but still so much to do! Re: Our Coral 'Hamilton 278'-Update-Waiting for Handover 217Jun 09, 2010 1:23 pm Thanks everyone for your feedback/comments Well just an update on what's been happening. We had PCI on 27/5, tomorrow will be 2wks since and we haven't had handover yet. It was supposed to be last Fri but because not much on the 'to-do-list' was completed our SS has decided to put it off. We aren't worried though as we won't be moving in for 3 more weeks and he's allowed our retaining guy to start doing our walls before we've had handover, so that's ok. But we still have to do driveway, paths, fence, turf, security and blinds, in the next three weeks. So hopefully it will all come together Re: Our Coral 'Hamilton 278'-Update-Waiting for Handover 218Jun 09, 2010 3:58 pm Sounds great! It's so much work when you are doing so many things after handover, we will be in the same position...for now that builders get to do all the work but when it's handed over the real work begins!! GL. Anyway just wondering if you used 1/2 or 1/4 strength and if you feel the colour is dark enough. I'm changing all my interior paint colours at the moment and am debating on whether to use 1/2 or 1/4... Thanks so much!!! Ask the council if there is a chance of getting build over easement exemption. Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck. And yes any builder… 2 13718 In Qld it is a requirement that a builder must have a cost breakdown, for building a home to the same specification, with the same inclusions and the same finish. So ask… 1 1670 It seems very clear to me that your contract states that a security account does NOT need to be established so the answer to the builder is NO. If in doubt find a contract… 1 8472 |
