If light is important to you: Whether the room is dark will largely be dependant on the light coming in. What orientation are the windows? West facing? (i guess that because they have awnings). I see that the bedroom is open to the ensuite which looks to have a decent size window. But depending on your privacy, I'm not sure if this will be covered or what type of glass it will be. Do you know if much light will come in from the bathroom? It's hard to picture these things without knowing your site & surroundings (eg. There may be a high neighbouring wall 3 m from your bathroom window which would block a lot of available light. There's something to be said for a darker bedroom, anyway. It can be really dramatic. Don't know what colour your carpet is but I would pick out a light to mid grey for the walls & then contrast by having crisp, all white linen. The fence will be standard 1.8m high and the bathroom window will be standard opaque glass (well standard in WA). And I'm starting to think a dark bedroom wouldn't be too bad an idea. And depending on costs, I will be getting a wall mounted sliding door for the ensuite. hmmm id assume youll get hit with the "natural product therefore variation in colour etc" excuse.
