Hmmm, I asked DH why we didn’t get that done and he reckons he asked the builder but they don’t do it. Oh well can get it poured with the driveway – still debating on whether to get tiled front porch or just exposed aggregate. More decisions There is also a h@llm@rk going up next door to us and they look to be at the same stage you are. Our frame still hasn’t gone up…. hopefully it will by this weekend. So exciting!! Re: Our Topaz in 2010 Slabbed and Framing Started!! 46May 07, 2010 8:39 pm n&n02 we too are undecided on what flooring to get for porch/patio. Like the look of pavers but out of our budget. Have yet to get a quote for aggregate. Rest of our house is tiles n carpets. There is a H@llm@rk home few houses down our street too. There seems to be few around the area being built. May be i am noticing them now since i am building with them Keeping fingers crossed for u Re: Our Topaz in 2010 Slabbed and Framing Started!! 47May 07, 2010 9:09 pm WOW 2pais! Congrats on your start. Your frame is looking awesome Re: Our Topaz in 2010 Roof tiles n Windows In!! 50May 16, 2010 9:42 am Great to see your build going so well. Just completed build with Hallmark Homes Re: Our Topaz in 2010 Roof tiles n Windows In!! 52May 16, 2010 5:29 pm Wow this is powering along, that's great We had our porch and alfresco concreted with the slab, something to do with the type of slab that we needed (but we got charged extra for it). However, we ended up concreting over the top when we got the driveway done in exposed agg so that it all looked the same. You would never know there was plain concrete underneath. Re: Our Topaz in 2010 Roof tiles n Windows In!! 54May 16, 2010 10:14 pm Doesn't it look GREAT when the roof is on!!! Bring on the bricks Re: Our Topaz in 2010 Roof tiles n Windows In!! 55May 17, 2010 5:23 pm Thanks Hels, n&n02, Pebbles Hels we are thinking of getting our Porch n Patio tiled but Driveway exposed aggregate that is if it falls within our budget. n&n02 our windows are silver in colour. After the windows went in i realised that we cant open the bottom half only the top sliding to let air in. Would have preferred full openings to windows as most homes i have seen. Pebbles i am a little bit disappointed with the roof tiles as i feel they look too dark at this stage. Hoping that ones the bricks are in it will blend in. I had taken the picture midday in sunlight they look black and in shade they look more bluish greyish. I like your roof - what colour will your garage be??? DIY, Home Maintenance & Repair That laser level looks lovely! We bought one for less than a quarter of that price off eBay. It worked really well for us and it's still going now, five years later. After… 1 16704 It's possible but a soak well is usually much larger. Your 'soak well' only holds 424 litres when full. What is your soil type? Soak wells need sandy soils. 10 8985 Need advice on the backyard plan above.
