Erin - What colour did you go for? I recently called Plush to get an update on delivery times, and they said another 6 weeks. I then proceeded to ask them whether the lounges are made in Greenland!!

I cannot wait to see that in your home. Mine is the white that they have on display at most stores. The reason I am waiting so long is because they did not have an ottoman available with any of their Melbourne modulars so they recommended I have a new one made up so they use the same leather to make the two, as sometimes there could be a slight variance. Confused Renovator Re: Lets talk about - Plush Furniture 24May 11, 2010 12:01 am Hey guys, Thanks for all the input on this one! We made a wise decision based on the information in here and went with Frog sofa's We were fairly sold on the Plush helvetica 3 seaters x 2 but after 2 visits and a bit of research I have to say how impressed I am with this company. I went to 2 different Plush stores and I get the feeling they are all run the same way. The manager is the only person in the store with product knowledge and everyone else is an order taker. Every question we asked was "oooh hang on I will just go ask" and this was in 2 seperate shops!!!! When we went to frog's the guy knew his stuff, was helpful and yet still respected our need to 'look' (read: sit on everything in the shop) and the prices were just awesome. On average aroun 1/3rd cheaper than plush on very similar sofa's. For 2 Plush 3 seater sofas with a fabric ottoman their best today price was $5800 in the leather we wanted. For 2 Frog 3 seater sofa's with a leather ottoman in contrasting colour the price was a stunning $3650! These sofa's share the same dimensions (the frog is actually a little larger) and a very similar design with an ultro wide arm for our laptops. Thanks for the advice and I will share the pics when I get the sofas in around 10 weeks! Cheers, Matt Re: Lets talk about - Plush Furniture 25Aug 04, 2010 8:39 am I bought two leather couches from 'Plush' and after around eight years the leather is wrecked. All stretched and on one couch the seat is all worn and no longer smooth. I have used leather conditioner on them from time to time. They were advertised as being quality leather. Next time I'll be doing more research on leather quality and grading. Re: Lets talk about - Plush Furniture 27Aug 04, 2010 12:15 pm The general rule, is you get what you pay for. A lot of cheaper lounge furniture is cheap because under the fabric/leather is cheap and flimsy construction and second-hand recycled materials. Nothing wrong with that but you need to consider how long you wish to keep your lounge? Are you a person who changes your furniture with the fashions or is it a keeper for 10 years+? Re: Lets talk about - Plush Furniture 28Aug 04, 2010 1:41 pm Plush furniture is made in China hence the 14 week wait...I asked them a few days ago. We have bought a couch from King Furniture and extremerly unhappy with it...leather deteriorated within a few months Friend bought a couch from a specialised sofa place and leather started to fall apart after 1 week Moral to the story...no matter where you buy your couch, how much you paid for it, sometimes they have no control over the quality of that particular leather batch and the process of how it was made. Therefore, atm, I am going with plush furniture I think because we are the type of people that have the worst luck with couches so it really dosent matter as long as it is comfortable. Silly post I know but I have given up on trying to get the perfect couch...dosent exist Mrs B Re: Lets talk about - Plush Furniture 29Aug 04, 2010 10:03 pm I'm impressed with Frog's sofas and yet to look at their store. I like what I see online and their prices look fantastic too.
Re: Lets talk about - Plush Furniture 30Aug 04, 2010 10:05 pm I wasn't impressed with Plush products at all. Re: Lets talk about - Plush Furniture 31Dec 10, 2017 9:44 am Do not buy Freedom, Plush or Furniture Fantastic. 2 bad shopping experiences and $8500 later after having bought 1 suite from Freedom and 1 suite from Plush. Husband AFL player, springs and support went on both. We were told the last suite would be the end of his discomfort.. Never ever again. Found out same Company owned all places... Quality was no different except Plush was meant to be the more quality of the 2, we did our money.. Ended up with 2 recliners from another Company. He's happy. |
