I read a quote from a guy in an article in Renew a while back saying that ideally there would be no silicon in a modern home. I didn't understand it , but I did tuck it away in one of the few spare brain cells I have left to spare. Your comment reminded me. I'm particularly interested in whether there are any environmental concerns ... including, but not only, concerns for home air quality etc. Are water based polyurethanes up to the task of sealing up bathrooms?? Everyone has seen the mould growing underneath silicone. I have used them(poly) for years with plenty of success.
