Building in EVE Estate

hey everyone, We got our slab laid today!
its all changing so much out there with all the work going on,
guess we'll have to organise a build thread now we have something to show.

How exciting =) Our constructions begins next Friday the 5th of March!
Haven't been down to Eve in a while now, can't wait to see everyones progress so far. You should make a blog on blogspot!

The display centre is being turned in to a "medical centre/pharmacy" and there is a confirmed IGA supermarket in the carpark across the road, along with many other unknown shops. I have heard rumors of cafes, charcoal chicken and a gym.

To confirm the new building across from the Sales office will be a mini-supermarket (IGA)

I can not confirm what the other shops will be .... but as for the rumors about the Gym this will be going up near the High School along with a new Public Library and Cafe... This area (from back of high school to Narre/Cranny rd) is earmarked for future development and is currently to be known as "Casey Central Town Centre".... I would not plan on holding out for the new gym to start getting fit as it may be years away.

I'm also building at Eve [hoping to], stage 13. Settlement was originally planned for April when I contracted in Nov '09, but now it seem to have got delayed like Bonnie and David mentioned. I've been told that the vendor is now targetting early to mid June 2010 registration. Apparently the construction company has gone into voluntary administration in Feb 2010.

I was expecting to get the FHOG and had contracted in mid Dec '09 for construction. This delay would mean that the 6 month deadline to start building won't be met as per SRO requirement...

Anyone else got any good news?

Hey guys, in stage 6b, we got a delay of about 2 months as well (March title now May). As far as FHOG, all you need is the letters that show the delay was not your doing. Done deal. (We got one from our solicitor from the developers).

I have got a letter from Stockland saying that the delay is the fault of their contractor... I guess I can use that to apply for an extension for construction commencement.

Does SRO give an extended deadline for that (say another 1 or 2 months) or do I need to know the approximate date when the construction can happen before I apply? From, the SRO website, it seems they want an approximate date for construction. Guess that means I should wait a while things become bit more certain...

The new shops at this stage are going to be an IGA and IGA Liquor, 2 story cafe/restaurant, bakey, pizza, fish and chips, chemist warehouse, hairdresser and one more shop that is left they are hoping to get a newsagent/tattersalls.

I am 90% sure to be taking one of the shops so I have been in contact with the agents a fair bit. Not far off signing the lease so have been very interested in my neighboring shops.
