Having looked at some of the beautiful kitchens on this forum ... I'm having doubts ... Of course! There are some beautiful laminates to choose from, and stone can look fabulous in either thickness. It all depends on the look you're going for. Decide on a look you like (there's lots of inspiration in this forum and on building threads too), and then pick finishes and colours to suit.
