I agree with the others though, go the darker walls if you can twist your partners arm! I wouldn't be bold enough to go red on the splashback although it would be a great feature, silver sounds beautiful and coloured accessories as you suggested. We will have a lot of windows & large sliders so plenty of light & I think 1/4 will be too light too but friends have 1/4 & my partner liked their look. I guess maybe I can add 1/2 feature walls - one day when I am home alone Just change it and don't tell him..... I bet he'll never even know. Hmm could do that (and maybe get away with it) but I think the sound of ' i told you so' sounds pretty good too? I am not 100% sure about the 1/2 strength - we have a lot of timber furniture that may work to make the walls darker if we went 1/2. Think we will go with 1/4 & add features if it is too pale..................
