Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Mar 20, 2010 2:36 pm I have been lurking this website for quite sometime now and have found it to be extremely helpful. Its amazing seeing everyones empty block of land slowly turn into a house. l have decided to start my own thread. Me and my husband are first home buyers and were planning on buying an existing house though we didnt find any that we completely liked. We have been looking ever since January last year. We never really thought of building because we always had the perception that it would be extremely expensive. Once we talked to a couple of builders we realised that it actually worked out better for us because then we will get the house that we really want. After going through so many display homes we decided to go with the Saville from Eden Brae. l have just figured out how to post a photo as l am pretty crappy with the computer. So here goes. A pic of our floor plan Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Handover date 3rd August 2010 WOOHOO!!! I look forward to following your progress. Great plans by the way! cheers jim Re: jane and Daves First building experience with Eden Brae 3Mar 20, 2010 2:43 pm It was really confusing choosing our colours. One minute we wanted this and the next minute we wanted something completely different. l'm pretty happy with my colour selections now. Bricks: PGH Sorbetto Roof tiles: Barramundi Aluminium windows: Woodland grey gutter/fascia: woodland grey Driveway: paved PGH peppercorn We are planning to render the front after settlement. The builders want way too much for rendering Handover date 3rd August 2010 WOOHOO!!!
