For the renovators out there, here are the before shots:
So far we have: knocked out a wall to open up the room moved a doorway removed the old kitchen replastered and painted Patched up the slate tiles The new kitchen is here, ready to be installed next week. The wait is going to kill me! We are going with a white shaker style door, diamond gloss benches in Stipple Seal, and ss appliances. Once it is all in we will decide on splashbacks. Can't wait to show the "after" photos soon and thanks to everyone who has contributed to this thread - it really helped our decision making. Here are the progress shots! Also hoping that the dishwasher is capable of pumping the waste water that far! If not, we might have to do some rearranging and have the rubbish bin cabinet moved to the far end and the dishwasher placed closer to the sink... The tall oven tower with microwave and recipe books above the oven. 900mm cooktop goes in where the top cupboard is cut away to allow for slide-out rangehood. The commercial wok burner goes where the bench is lowered, and it has a concealed rangehood going in above it. All the holes have been cut to allow for rangehood venting =))) SO exciting! I can't believe it only took them a day to install our kitchen cabinets & most of the vanities, it changes the look of the room so quickly, can't wait until next week for the ceasar stone to go in. Classic white high gloss vac formed vinyl doors, caesarstone 'linen' benchtops. I want to keep the benchtops clear for ease of cleaning (and we've got heaps of cupboard, drawer and pantry space, so everything can be put away). . . but everything just looks a bit bare. . . any suggestions for wall-hangings? A clock is a must, but we're not sure where.
