My niece and nephew love it! No squabbles over mess as they are responsible for keeping the area clean. It is a luxury but if you do it without paying too much extra I'd go for it. Re: Double basin in main or ensuite 14Feb 27, 2010 1:17 pm Getting there, sorry, I dont think that large sink is a good idea - on the basis of water wastage, water conservation being an ongoing issue in Australia and things that you would fill the sink for, you are going to have to use so much more water each time to get the depth you need Re: Double basin in main or ensuite 15Feb 27, 2010 4:50 pm Helyn Getting there, sorry, I dont think that large sink is a good idea - on the basis of water wastage, water conservation being an ongoing issue in Australia and things that you would fill the sink for, you are going to have to use so much more water each time to get the depth you need I must be the only one who has never filled a bathroom sink before. Re: Double basin in main or ensuite 16Feb 27, 2010 5:13 pm We are a family of 5 too. You should try explore the idea for sure!!! progress viewtopic.php?f=31&t=20401 sculptures viewtopic.php?f=36&t=26607 pole trouble viewtopic.php?f=3&t=25988 Re: Double basin in main or ensuite 17Feb 27, 2010 5:23 pm gettingThere Haven't seen many of these around, wonder if one large sink would work out cheaper than two regular size ones... it reminds me of the sink in the girls toilet at my DD school, but a much posher version! Re: Double basin in main or ensuite 18Feb 27, 2010 5:25 pm it would be a waste of time for us as we never use the ensuite at the same time.. but for people who do use it at the same time I guess it is useful Re: Double basin in main or ensuite 19Feb 27, 2010 7:23 pm gettingThere Helyn Getting there, sorry, I dont think that large sink is a good idea - on the basis of water wastage, water conservation being an ongoing issue in Australia and things that you would fill the sink for, you are going to have to use so much more water each time to get the depth you need I must be the only one who has never filled a bathroom sink before. Well, not neccesarily filling it but say, to get 3 inches of water you would use so much more to get it in that trough than in a standard basin- washing kids faces, shaveing, soaking your hands... I don't think I even have a plug for it.. but I use an electric shaver.. (as the blade used to irritate my skin too much). I used to when I used a blade shaver but now I have no need.
