I am so over it. Question - got our tender letter back from Coral Homes and it is like $15,000 more than the original priliminary quote... is this normal?? (our SC told us she had over estimated our building costs but it as still blown out by $4,500 and the soil test came back better than we thought!) Other costs that weren't in the original quote are: Stormwater $1795 Water service $950 Extra Council fees $1,299 High ceilings $1252 (extra over $4,165 quoted) Reconfigure garage $1052 (extra over $3,645 quoted) Granny Flat $3081 (extra over $65,128 quoted) site cost $4650 (extra over $18,000 quoted) again, is this normal?? mel Re: Building Coral Home - Daydream 279 15Mar 21, 2010 3:09 pm Hey Mel, How are things coming along for you? Haven't heard from you in a while? Re: Building Coral Home - Daydream 279 16Apr 07, 2010 3:35 pm Hi Walker79! After a few set backs with the tender letter we have now signed the contract! yeah! (not that it is a real issue with us but we were only acting on advise from our Solicitor and broker and i have heard alot of stories of late where people have been sued if there is problems with the finance, and the way banks are at the moment after the 'financial crisis' I don't think we can be too careful!) will let you know how we go. cheers, Mel Re: Building Coral Home - Daydream 279 17Apr 26, 2010 2:26 pm Hey Mel, Haven't heard from you in a while.
