I realise they're not great but as I said we're limited in our local area but I will travel. And the local guy seems OK to deal with. We have a standard opening 1200x2008x230. I'm renovating a victorian era house and definitely want solid timber door and glass insert fixed panel. Style I'm aiming for is contemporary classic. Nothing too modern but no arches or stained glass etc. either. People make one happy, not houses? I do not think so. Houses are more to be trusted than people. Re doors plus it probably depends on store to store. I personal hate the way they advertise ie 50%. There initial prices in my area arent realistic. Perhaps Try corinthian (check spelling) doors on their website if give the people an idea of what you like. Not too sure if thats what you want. Try hume doors also (they also have website) but again this is a similar company to corinthian in terms of market. But if you like something post a pic. A lot of the internal doors are warped and the timber inlays are separating from the rest of the door on both entry doors (think they are called a Windsor No. 7). Won't really be an issue with glass inlays however i wouldn't be using their door again in a hurry. Cheers Re: well priced entry doors? 8Jul 04, 2010 9:38 am Freakin Hi guys, My old man just got a couple of houses built and they used Corinthian doors. Cheers The problems you've described make me wonder if the door were stored and transported correctly from the factory to site before being fitted? Re: well priced entry doors? 9Jul 04, 2010 4:21 pm I would not be surprised if they were not stored correctly. I found the delivery reciept for the doors on site, the builder got the doors from Bunnings rather than direct from Corinthian for some reason... Re: well priced entry doors? 10Jul 04, 2010 10:09 pm Our builder recommended Crown doors as being good quality "properly solid" doors that he thought were good value for money. They have a website where you can see all the options - wide range. It's possible but a soak well is usually much larger. Your 'soak well' only holds 424 litres when full. What is your soil type?
