Didnt see in your first post 10 weeks til start. Will fly by. Rod Waiting for block Heritage Springs Sutton Facade 8Feb 13, 2008 9:59 am Hi Flew,
Well after many many sleepness nights we finally picked our facade. We have gone for the Dalziel (Option 1 due to budget constraints). Now our only dilema is decision re the size of the garage. We originally were going for the Double plus option which gives about 7.6m width and we thought than 1.6m aprox space next to garage but we incorrectly thought the gap to other side fence is 1.2m but that is for single storey now know it is 1.8m which means we are left with a 1m gap. Not sure what to do as we had planned on putting bins and a clothes line next to garage but am worried 6m standard width will end up with kids denting doors on cars as they sling doors open. Not long til you start building now is it still on track for mid April start? Rod Rod, we went the double plus and added a further 1.2m on top of that (out to the boundary), we were 40cm short of going a triple garage...due to developers guidelines You wont regret the extra space in the garage, money well spent now IMO. Sutton Garage 10Feb 13, 2008 12:09 pm Thanks, yes I thought about extending to the boundary but as our house has eaves there would be a wasted space as can't have building on property boundary and hang eaves over fence. If not for eaves I would like to do very similar to you except ours would be double plus and 1m. Problem is in shrinking the garage lose the rear roller door. However we would have access down the side 2.6m. Might split difference and add just .5m to stanfdard still leaving enough room down the side to drive through.
Unrelated question how do you do the quote insert like your previous post? Thanks Rod Waiting for block Heritage Springs Re: He3ley - Sutton - Site Costs 11Feb 13, 2008 12:58 pm Rod, don't discount the fact that you CAN"T have your house on the boundary, if you want to. We changed the gutter profile on our garage as shown below. The front has eaves but the gutter is inset to line up with the brickwork.

Thanks Rod Rod on every post in the top RH corner there is a quote button. If pressed it takes you to the post a reply page with the quote inserted. Hope that helps. Re: He3ley - Sutton - Site Costs 14Feb 13, 2008 1:16 pm kiwi056 That looks quite a cut next to your garage Phoenix! I hope they are going to do some retaining. I know, but there is about .5m of dirt still there and the cut is about the same in height. Their house/garage is not going on the boundary but that cut runs along the length of our boundary.... They will have to do something...i would hope...we'll find out soon enough. Think of the positives, you are higher than them, and more than likely they’ll cop your run off, not the other way around.
