Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Anyone Else Building At 'Parkside' Tarneit? 7Jan 28, 2010 11:53 am Just had a look at your blog mate, nice. We are lot 68, so not too far into stage 2. I thought it was a bit strange the way that they are pulling the house apart... Our idea was that maybe it has asbestos involved and they need to carefully strip it down but re-location is also an idea... Dont know why you wouldnt just build a new place though. Re: Anyone Else Building At 'Parkside' Tarneit? 8Jan 28, 2010 12:26 pm Yeah i thought it was strange too until i saw the relocation signage on the gate where the driveway is. For a while there i thought that was Stage 1.. as ive seen so many different drawing of what stage 1 should be , so it took a while to get a full view of where the block really was.. -Juz Re: Anyone Else Building At 'Parkside' Tarneit? 9Jan 29, 2010 3:21 pm Well i hope they move it quickly so they can get started on our roads! lol Re: Anyone Else Building At 'Parkside' Tarneit? 10Mar 01, 2010 1:39 pm Hi...everyone My husband and I also just recently got hold on the Parkside Estate. The lawyers are looking into the contract as we speak. We haven’t signed anything as yet. Did anyone have any problems with the contract? We are looking to build with Burbank the Ascent 25 but still haven't decided. Anyone else building with Burbank? What are your thoughts on them? So far what we have discovered is that we have to go the edge and choose everything there. They won’t show us what the standards look like or what category 1 is. They want a holding deposit and also want us to sign the home order before going to the edge. The site allowance and council rates is $10,160 already. There is a turn key pack of $4500 which includes the carpet, tiles, window furnishings which they call standard ones. Anyone else going through this with any other builder? Re: Anyone Else Building At 'Parkside' Tarneit? 11Mar 02, 2010 10:26 am Howdy, I had no issues with the contract , all went well. Im in Stage 1 of ParkSide, they should be starting the roads etc in the next week i'm told, so fingers crossed. Cheers, Juz Re: Anyone Else Building At 'Parkside' Tarneit? 12Mar 08, 2010 8:50 am Great to see someone else building at Parkside! Still waiting for things to start moving at a decent speed... Hi Barbgal Good to see someone else from parkside! What street are you on? Re: Anyone Else Building At 'Parkside' Tarneit? 14Mar 23, 2010 4:05 pm Checked with the developer this week (tuesday), and Parkside is still being delayed by the council at this stage so i have no idea on when the roads etc will start to be constructed. Ill try and keep asking them every week or so but at this point in time its just a wait and see process. Re: Anyone Else Building At 'Parkside' Tarneit? 15Mar 23, 2010 8:50 pm Well that sucks. We thought there was some movement right up the back where the other estate's road met with ours but I guess not? Re: Anyone Else Building At 'Parkside' Tarneit? 16Mar 24, 2010 10:28 am Hi Barbgal
Good to see someone else from parkside! What street are you on? Hi Brad and Jess, We are on springleaf road Re: Anyone Else Building At 'Parkside' Tarneit? 17Mar 24, 2010 12:25 pm barbgal Hi Brad and Jess, We are on lot 90 springleaf road Just around the corner from us, we're 68 Re: Anyone Else Building At 'Parkside' Tarneit? 18Mar 24, 2010 1:19 pm Brad & Jess Well that sucks. We thought there was some movement right up the back where the other estate's road met with ours but I guess not? The people making the new road (the on tarneit road) are the same people doing the parkside development. They have instructed me that the council is holding them back from starting on parkside, but they couldnt give me specifics or any idea of a start date. They did say they'd be starting it soon though and they showed me the big pile of dirt up the back that theyre going to use for parkside when they compact the land. Id hope that they would start in the next month.. Im really not sure what the councils reasons are for holding things back, but i hope they get over it soon enough. -Juz Re: Anyone Else Building At 'Parkside' Tarneit? 19Mar 25, 2010 11:18 am Hey guys, Firstly, good to see some other fellow Parksiders..lol Me and my fiancée have also recently purchased land at Parkside (Lot 66 Springleaf Rd), This development has been taking a while to kick off, I have been in contact with both Elders Real Estate (who did not seem to know much about it) as well as Wyndham City Council and CPG (Surveyor), as far as I can gather, it seems that the Engineering plans have been approved and all the other approvals which are required to get things started have been granted, the Surveyor (Mark from CPG) has outlined to me that things WILL be kicking off within the next 2-4 weeks as he thinks the issue is with council and them getting there act together.. Anyways nice little community here.. P.S: Juz, love your house blog, I visit it each week, lol saves the trip to Tarneit.
