Pretty much done... we picked a white / grey wall tile for the bathroom (it's 200x400 so will be laid horizontally) with a charcoal floor tile. Bathroom vanity is white and the benchtop is this one: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Kitchen - plain white wall tiles (200x300, also laid horizontally) with this benchtop: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ and these cupboard doors: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ We picked out floor tiles that we loved at Beaumont, but they weren't in the builders range, so were going to cost us $20 extra per sqm for the tile, then found out that as they were rectified edges, it was another $50 per sqm again to lay them, so $70 a sqm extra over 85 sqm's, so another $6000 or so for these tiles, on top of the $7200 that we were already paying . We decided not to get those ones, found another one we liked that was in the builders range, and didn't have rectified edges, so we were going to get that instead. Bought home a couple of tiles as samples, sat them on the floor to see how they looked and then realised how grubby they got and slippery they were, so cancelled that idea as well. Went out to Independant Carpets to look at floating floorboards as we got our boards from there a few years back. Found this one that we really like: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Not slippery, easy to look after and haven't been damaged by our kids and dog's yet and they are $1k cheaper than the tiles that Coral quoted on. Happy with that! Were you at Amber tiles on Sunday by any chance? There was a couple out there building with Coral looking at red splashbacks while I was there... just thought that it may have been you! Nic. Hi Michael We live our plan made heaps of changes but are so happy with it. Are you building with Coral or somebody else?? What street are you in, its a great area we are on top of the hill so its a great view. What stage are you up too?? Cherie Re: Re designed Hamilton 278 35Jan 27, 2010 9:48 pm Hi Cherie I'm in Moreton across the road from another Coral under construction at the moment (and it's coming on very quickly too). When Coral couldn't do the Hamilton for me I had a backup plan I liked with Allworth so ended up going with that. I moved in six months ago but still sorting out landscaping etc. You do get a fantastic view from up where you are, it's a great area. Your stage was still bush when I purchased my block. Michael Re: Re designed Hamilton 278 36Feb 03, 2010 12:42 pm FINALLY Some progress, retaining walls go up today, thanks To Ace Retaining Walls. The 9th Febuary the surveyor arrives and on the 11th they cut the block. Have a meeting there at 8am, so excited. THEN... We are using blocks so we can rip it down and cut the land back further once the council has left the area.....Shhhhh. lol So Monday is full steam ahead Got a call from clements telling us that the air con that Coral provide isnt the correct size for our house and wouldnt do the job so have had to up grade on that, but otherwise all going well. The joiner has come back with a quote of close to 5k. I think we are going to not do it. Attaching panelling is something they are dead… 11 10125 The gap can be adjusted so it's tighter. You can definitely set up corner cabinets to have the same gap as standard doors. 2 8598 No. It's not original. Circa early to mid 90s would be my guess and maybe even as late as early 2000s 1 3664 |
