I am very impressed with the site, as they provide good specs of all their carpets. ELYSIUM 18.2mm thick, 21 tufts per 10cm, 2370g/m2 ARMURE 11.4mm thick, 17.75 tufts per 10cm, 1530g/m2 ANGUS TWEED 10.2mm thick, 21 tufts per 10cm, 1420g/m2 TROJAN TWIST 10mm thick, 31.5 tufts per 10cm, 1630g/m2 So you can see that Alysium, being thicker and heavier than the others will be more expensive. Trojan Twist will be a very robust carpet, with good longevity, but won't feel quite as soft under foot. I have Angus Tweed in my main bedroom. After 13 years, its still looking good, but has some tracking/thinning out in the main walk-ways. Its probably still good for another 12 years. I looked at the Armure as a cheaper alternative to Elysium, as it has a similar look & feel, but not quite as heavy a carpet. Generally, you can expect the cost of each carpet to be proportionate with the weight figure (a 2370g carpet will cost much more than a 1420g carpet). Also, lower height, greater density carpets will generally last better, so of these four, the Trojan Twist may well last as long as the Elysium, but be cheaper. Cheers! Ash. I'm not suggesting this carpet, but check out the specs of this is an example of a full on commercial carpet... http://www.cavbrem.com.au/tools/search- ... e=503#null Lower, extremely densely tufted, and exceptionally durable carpet construction. When wool carpets are tufted so densely, they have excellent stain resistance too, as the tufts are so packed together that spills just sit on top and don't penetrate much into the pile. Ash.
