It has been postponed for nearly 1 yr ? Anyway knows where is the nearest indoor swimming pool to us? Thanks v much. It'll be even better when they get the cinemas in there And a few more shops like Myer.... Then there'll be no reason to leave town- ever. There's an indoor pool at the Mill Park YMCA... Morang Drive, not far. Re: Living in Doreen/ Mernda 19Jan 08, 2010 1:33 pm I'm wrestling with these thoughts myself... While I grew up in Eltham I've lived in the inner city since I was 18. I've spent the last 6 year in the Docklands which I loved. I had a fantastic social network within the complex and miss it terribly. The conclusion I've come to is that while Mernda might be so much further from the city than I was used to - it doesn't have to dictate the social life you have. You can form another social circle (in an area like Mernda/Doreen this should be so much more simple as nearly everyone is in the same boat). The commute to work might be painful - but there are advantages that you're able to have a house you love and can afford.
