Our land is at Karinya and is yet to release. We were told that the land release would be sometime in Nov 2009 but has been postponed to Jan 2010 now. Has anyone signed a contract with NBG. If yes, have you been assigned a builder? Please confirm. Please confirm. What lot are you? We're lot 16. Hoping to start building early Jan now (delay after delay). Hopefully your land does settle in Jan. We put the deposit down on ours in Feb and were told that it would be released in June, it didn't settle until the end of November. Hopefully the construction should start by March !!! That's great news! Congrats! Our soil test was actually done before settlement but I believe it took around a week to get back (well that's how long until we found out the results). The building permit only took 1-2 weeks. The longest part for us was the builder getting a site start locked in. I got an email a week or so ago from Porter Davis advertising that only a few site starts were available for April and that they are going quick. Hopefully your builder can get you locked in ASAP. Also, could you please confirm how much the site costs were as we had been factored 13K in the contract which sounds too high !! Also, could you please confirm how much the site costs were as we had been factored 13K in the contract which sounds too high !! Our site costs for a 41sq single story home (takes up a lot of land), were $0 (nothing/zilch). We did however have to pay $5,000 or so to upgrade the slab type but as there was no rock and the site was clear, there were no actual site costs. Before entering a contract with the builder, we neeed to decide if we want to fix the site cost or not. Can anyone share your opinion and tell us the actual site cost for their land? This will be very helpful for us. Appreciate any response!!!!!!!!!!! Building Standards; Getting It Right! Hi All, We have a fall from road to garage front.
