End of story. What's your climate like? Which way does your house face? Would your design look better with them? Do you need them for climate control? Do YOU like them? ....these are the important questions. Who cares what anyone else thinks/likes/dislikes? You have to live in the house, so make it suit you. We have always shunned houses that don't have eaves and are box like. We were quoted $11k for eaves or verandah to whole house. Now we have no choice we will make up for it by choosing the colour bricks carefully and having a great front garden Update from me!
