You are a great man!!! If you have any other queries... jump on http://www.pic.vic.gov.au (it's a Victorian site... not sure what state you're in?) or google the standard I mentioned earlier. Good luck! I am in NSW, I can see from your picture that you have a good husband!!! And of course he has a even better wife. Re: My neighbour's roof and stormwater goes all the way in my bl 11Dec 16, 2009 9:04 pm It is not legal for his stormwater to go on your property, he cannot leave it as it is. He needs to run it to the street, If the back of his block is lower than the street he needs to dig a sump and buy a pump to pump it uphill to the street. Do not let him dig your block for his stormwater. I would be removing his pipe from my property asap. He can flood his own backyard, but instead he chooses to floods yours. Re: My neighbour's roof and stormwater goes all the way in my bl 12Dec 18, 2009 1:18 pm Throw all your garbage in his backyard. Tell him you couldn't be bothered puting it out the front every Monday. Re: My neighbour's roof and stormwater goes all the way in my bl 13Dec 18, 2009 1:31 pm aaron4erin Dob him in to council Any water caught on a roof is meant to run to a storm water drain via what they call a "legal point of discharge" (each house has a connection to a storm water drain... doesn't matter how many structures you have on your land, it's your responsibility to make sure the waters drain to this. If he is complaining his block is higher than yours, and gravity cannot run the water to his street front, then he should put in a pit with a pump in it to collect the water and pump it up to street level. I do like the idea of adding your own water tank and catch his water We had to do one of these, actually we have two. Sorry I can't let this pass.....yeah Erin you guys take a fabulous photo together, love the reindeer ears woof! You are no doubt the one with her mouth open Re: My neighbour's roof and stormwater goes all the way in my bl 15Dec 18, 2009 1:44 pm Just to add to the advice you've already been given, I have relatives who went through the same thing. Your neighbour can't do that. Report him to the council. It's good that you don't want to have a bad relationship with your neighbour but he is taking advantage of you and being a bad neighbour! Re: My neighbour's roof and stormwater goes all the way in my bl 16Dec 18, 2009 2:20 pm Personally, I would cut his pipe at your boundary and cap it off. Very soon it will be one very major problem for him. Just a thought. Pat.
