We're still months away from making the final decision.... But nothing like pre-planning hey???? Re: window coverings for sliding/stacking or huge windows 11Jan 06, 2008 11:29 pm bec I found the folding panel glides they are pretty cool (little video here if anyones interested...under folding panels http://www.nichedesign.com.au/page/what ... to_me.html) Bec, i like them, are they motorised??? Re: window coverings for sliding/stacking or huge windows 13Jan 06, 2008 11:38 pm bec I imagine so I bet they are very expensive! They look really nice and the fact that you can change the panels to change your look but keep the track system is great.
Ikea have a nice similar looking system, and some nice panels too... I think i've also seen it in places like Lincraft.... Re: window coverings for sliding/stacking or huge windows 17Jan 09, 2011 6:51 pm We're using roller blinds. We have a 6 stacker sliding door (4 blinds in total, but only 2 chains to operate as 2 will be linked together), a 3 stacker sliding door and 2 other standard sliding doors. We had roller blinds over sliding doors in our previous house and had no problems with them. We considered the panelglides but didn't want to cover some of our glass at all times by having panels over the glass even when the blinds are open (we don't have space at the sides as we made the doors as large as they can be). The other reason we decided against them is because we have young children and they just love playing with the verticals we have in the place we are renting. Go to a heap of blind/curtain shops (including spotlight) and visit as many display homes as you can stand.... Re: window coverings for sliding/stacking or huge windows 18Jan 14, 2011 8:42 am We are getting duo roller blinds... Re: window coverings for sliding/stacking or huge windows 19Jan 14, 2011 2:20 pm I am thinking of getting dual roller blinds too and have Spotlight coming out to quote on them next week. Does anyone have pics of them over their sliding doors? We have 4 panels with the doors opening in the middle. I am thinking I might just have two blinds so I can leave one half down if I need to and the other half (where door will open) up if I need to?... Re: window coverings for sliding/stacking or huge windows 20Jan 15, 2011 8:55 pm We have cornerless stacker doors, we looked at panel glides but as they are either open or closed, we decided against them. We've fitted Verticals and really happy with them, they open to the sides and allow full access to the opening Neil and Rachel Finally completed the Hartley 361 with Dennis Family Homes in Mernda Villages.....
