Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Dec 29, 2007 6:04 pm Has anyone used or seen sandstone cladding used for the outside walls of a house. My wife likes the idea, but I'm not sure about the appearance, cost and maintenance. It can be real sandstone or imitation. Don't know if this is down the right track, but we once looked into using Hooblerstone - www.hooblerstone.com.au. It was a while ago now though, so I can't remember a lot! We ended up going with Western Red Cedar only because it was cheaper. There is a house not far from us that is built with it (coincidently, the moment I saw that house, I had to know what it was made of, so went in and asked and that's how I found out about Hooblerstone!) Hope this helps! Madmel http://marshallmansion.blogspot.com/ Re: Sandstone cladding for external walls 3Dec 30, 2007 5:59 am http://www.phoenicianstone.com.au/

http://www.gosfordquarries.com.au/ My guess is at least $100m2 plus installation. Looks real good though !!!! Re: Sandstone cladding for external walls 8Jan 05, 2008 5:47 pm Isogroup….that website is great!
I’m amazed at how the trend has turned around so quickly in the last couple of years. First we take out and off the stone work……and pretty soon we are putting it back on and up again. I love it….its a classic look. The above website had photos to show how much of an improvement stone work can make to a home.
