Re: Celebration Domain - Our build 5Nov 20, 2009 9:33 pm I placed a call today to the council to chase up the building license and thankfully a lovely lady picked up the phone (that is rare in itself). She apologised for how long the license was taking and spoke to her supervisor. Came back a couple of minutes later and said she was sending the license off to the builder there and then. Woohoo, after 9 weeks, we finally have a license. We will find out next week when it will all begin. It is such a sense of relief that we are finally underway...well almost. Now we can dream about our own house rather than the ones that we are reading about on here! Re: Celebration Domain - Our build 10Nov 30, 2009 4:37 pm Just received an email from the builder and they are so busy at the moment so they are getting Webb & Brown Neaves to do the build. We still have our contact at Celebration, but they just do all the site work/tradies/SS and all the meetings etc. Hopefully this is good news, but not sure. Does anyone have any thoughts on this? We have been assured that the slab will be done by Christmas . Does anyone have any experience with WBN? I know the owner and she's happy with the progress so far. Re: Celebration Domain - Our build 13Nov 30, 2009 11:27 pm WBN is one of the higher end builders I thought. So you are in good hands. Re: Celebration Domain - Our build 14Dec 03, 2009 3:51 pm HI Hare1, Webb & Brown Neaves are part of the big family that celebrations belong to. So basically they are the same..so you dont have to worry ! homebuyers centre, celebration homes, Webb & Brown Neaves, apg, and a few more all are under the same group Builder: celebration homes,WA Slab down:12-Aug-09 Plate High:21-Sep-09 roof complete : 22-Oct-09 lockup: 19-Nov-09 PCI : 16-Dec-09 Key handover : 22-Dec-09 Re: Celebration Domain - Our build 15Dec 03, 2009 4:07 pm Cool thanks. We did some research too and we are now feeling pretty happy about it. It is better that they do it within the 6mth (ish) time frame than trying to slot into the busyness of Celebration tradies, they sound really hectic at the moment. Our CLO is great and has been very reassuring and thorough. The good thing is they build million dollar houses so they should do a great job. We were expecting to hear a start date by now or at least by the end of the week. I was actually tossing up whether to send an email querying it but trying to use some patience (we'll see if that lasts). Our concern is that they said the slab would be down by Christmas but can't see how that is possible if they don't start in the next day or so, not sure how long the site works and slab takes. Will get on to putting the plans and colours up tonight depending on how the kids go with going to sleep, will definately do it in the next couple of days - stay tuned. Your bricking is looking great, how exciting to see things happening.
