Ceilings complete today along with bulkheads in kitchen - just need cornices then flushing. Also the windows are in. Can you see my butterflies, I wonder what they are........ They are gone now. It seems like things are crawling along at the moment but they are doing a really good job. They finished the cornices today and swept out the house - it looks really good. This is the first chance that we have had to view the house without all the rubbish inside. Just waiting for the plaster set now to start - hopefully tomorrow. Anyone know if this is compulsory or he just had one spare? Is there a [V] on the plans? Or nothing at all? Built with New Generation (Summit Homes) We own land!... with a slab on it! Plus a shell of a house with stuff inside ! Re: Ultimate Homes in Perth - Cornices complete 185Nov 10, 2009 8:52 am Candylea - nothing shown on the plans. We moved the gas bayonet outside to the alfresco so no vents required. Re: Ultimate Homes in Perth - Cornices complete 186Nov 10, 2009 11:30 am We never had a (V) on our plans too... Or anything indicating a vent. It's good they put one in though! Laundries can get mouldy too... I hope we get one! If not we'll just put it in after handover. Yes we do have plastic pipes in the roof (copper in the wall) and Mr Smith (who works in building) said it's the norm now. Apparently the copper pipes can get damaged easier than the plastic pipes can, as the plastic pipes are extremely thick, and they are also a lot easier to work with. I got a call last week from the builder to clarify the cupboard design so it feels even closer to lockup and getting cabinets! Kirsada - not sure if you knew that you were getting the vent in the laundry - we didn't so got an exhaust fan as we will run the dryer in the wetter months. There are other things where they have not followed the plan. Anyone experienced this? I noticed someone else on H1 got only one shelf when they were expecting four. More whiteset today and looks like they will be finished by Wednesday, so 5 days is not bad going.
