Our SS even mentioned 'before christmas' which is exciting! Cabinetry is due next week which I am looking forward to, can't wait to see the colours coming together (hopefully it all works)! Loving the house gumboots! Looking forward to seeing some pics once the internal comes together.. Some of your internal colours are similar to mine (white and burnished wood in kitchen, we also have oyster linea and burnished wood in our bathrooms). By the way that is a pretty big house next to you! Which side is it on? Do you think you will get much of a shadow over your alfresco area because of it? I'm scared of a double story being built on my North boundary especially!! Building Monaco32 with Carlisle Homes in Alamanda Estate 20/08/2010 - HANDOVER 24/8!! Hi sarahq - I know how you feel, I spent ages trawling the internet looking for pictures of comparable colours to see how it looks. Its good when someone does a comparable scheme. The big house is sort of east (i think?), the sun comes up over the back corner of our block on their side so it doesn't get in the way (thankfully). I was really worried too when I saw the frame going up but we have been out there a few times at different times of the day and I think it will be ok. Re: Our story so far. A lot of our colours were chosen from display homes. Our kitchen is practically the same as the display (there is a pic of this in my thread I think). Thats fantastic news about the house next door as well! I have decided that if I have to have a double story house on a neighbouring block, I want it on the block to the south. I will cross that hurdle if I get to it I guess! Building Monaco32 with Carlisle Homes in Alamanda Estate 20/08/2010 - HANDOVER 24/8!! Wow, it took us ages to figure that out and we had the builder as a clue - we matched up the door voids at frame stage to the different double stories from Carlisle to see if their living or entertaining areas faced ours. As far as 2 story houses go, this one is pretty good to have next to us on that side! Our cabinets and sinks were delivered late last week so we have had a look at those. No surprises with how the colours came out which is great, but I think one of the bathroom units has been made in the wrong colour. Not quite sure what to do though since we technically aren't supposed to be in the house. Re: Our story so far.
