Re: Building an EB Memphis28Mk3**Pic Fest 23/10!!! 418Oct 27, 2009 8:39 am Hi all, We are a couple steps closer to the finish line. The internal touch-ups have been completed and the place appears to have had it's final clean. I don't think the Tyrells inspection will be occuring today as there are still a few big ticket items not done, namely the hot water system and the stove have not been installed, and the driveway is only half done. The other smaller item are the handles for all of the BIR's are still MIA. I'm not too stressed though. I got my first quote back for my retaining wall along the side of the house. As expected it's more than I want it to be so I'm in the process of removing a number of items from the quote that I will do myself. Rgds Leonard. Re: Building an EB Memphis28Mk3**almost there!!!!! 419Oct 27, 2009 2:33 pm I was curiuos as to why the concrete for the drive was left half done. I got an answer to this today. Apparently HSC have an issue with the cross-over! and the pour was shut down by a HSC inspector. Not sure exacatly what this issue is. Info from my SS is they are all meeting onsite sometime tomorrow to disucss. I should front up and table my retaining wall questions as well. I'm not too happy about the pour being stopped as the concrete that is there has cured and a cold joint will now be forever in the driveway right on the crest of it too. Bugger of a place to have a join as I reckon it will no doubt move the pavers and form a large crack that you will never be able to stop. I have half a driveway completed. All of the Concrete including the crossover has been layed and approx half the pavers have been layed as well. No Pics-Sorry- I have been super busy over the past 2 days so I only got to do a quick drive-by this arvo.
