Re: split systems - fujitsu or Daikin 12Oct 27, 2009 12:40 am I am installing a new Daikin 5kw/h inverter soon but I was told to also look for the new models of Mitsubishi (heavy Industries) Inverter models. Fujitsu cornered the market a few years ago but lost some credibility over the years perhaps because it has a long presence in the market too. one thing to consider is to precisely look at the coverage area to cool some models struggle beyond certain stated capacity. Daikin uses 4.5-5 amps and a 5kw/h is reasonable power consumption for an inverter model should be able to use power more wisely. Re: split systems - fujitsu or Daikin 13Oct 28, 2009 11:09 am I had two Fujitsu's installed in 2008. They both work well in both heating and cooling modes. Don't forget - how you use any a/c will make a difference to their effectiveness and running costs. If you have a house with dark roof and walls, no eaves, no trees/greenery, lots of paving, minimal insulation - you will be demanding more of your a/c in summer - and your power bills will be much higher. Also, in hot weather, you should close the house up early in the morning and use blinds, awnings, curtains to prevent the house heating up as the day gets hotter. At night, open the house up to allow it to cool off (keeping safety/security in mind). In cold weather, to reduce power bills, dress in warmer clothes. Use passive solar heating where possible e.g. orient house to warm walls and floors, use deciduous vines or trees near the house. It is recommended that for the most economical useage, the temperature is set for 24 degrees centigrade. Most power is used when the unit has to drastically raise or lower the temperature. For most people, the most comfortable temperature is around 23 to 24 degrees centigrade - depending on activity levels. Mrs B Nothing wrong with Mitsubishi Electric but Mitsubishi Heavy are far better quality. Mitsubishi Electric I would rate closer to the likes of Kelvinator, LG, Sharp, etc Move your linen into laundry and access laundry from your present linen space 1 8108 |
