Re: My newly converted sunroom WARNING PICTURE HEAVY 12Oct 12, 2009 11:03 am Annietom yeah I'd love to know what you paid for your blinds too. I'm looking at cheap ones from dealsdirect.com.au I'm worried they won't work... but I think yours look very $$$ pricey I have no doubt they will work, but the looks was the main thing for us. We didn't want saggy blinds (like you see at the Cafes) - and these blinds have stood up to the most recent wind storms and come out the other side still flat as a sheet. I'm very much a fan of 'getting what you paid for', but I'm also a person who understands marginal utility (return on investment) and in the end it is a question of how long you are going to live there, and how often you will use the space. I wasn't going to scrip on 2-3k after I've just paid 600k+ for the house and end up with saggy blinds that make people comment 'Lovely house - shame about the blinds...' I won't give Scott's prices away, but he certainly wasn't the most expensive quote I received. You are looking in the order 1k per blind (2.5m wide), with all the bells and whistles as you can see: ziptrak, hood boxes, pelmets etc. Plus the important thing was Scott did it all, including posts and painting, on time, with a proper clean up. Oh, we just had a house warming party in the space, and the plants weren't the only green there... The space after a lick of paint and some new furniture: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: My newly converted sunroom WARNING PICTURE HEAVY 13Oct 14, 2009 1:11 pm Fantastic!!! Re: My newly converted sunroom WARNING PICTURE HEAVY 14Nov 18, 2009 10:29 pm I'm going to drag this thread up because we had Scott out today to quote and we have decided to go ahead with them for our blinds. I can't wait to get them and I'll post a photo when it's done Just thought I would add that their product seems far superior to others we have looked at. I like the abundance of plants all over the place and they look damn healthy too. lol Re: My newly converted sunroom WARNING PICTURE HEAVY 16Jan 13, 2010 6:54 pm thegourou20 Wow you house looks amazing. I like the abundance of plants all over the place and they look damn healthy too. lol Thanks for all the nice comments (+to everyone else too ) - the plants one of the best features of my house. They are a result of collecting all that pre-shower water (when it's still cold!) and watering them with it, I don't think they would have survived the heat otherwise. Recycled at least 15-20 buckets of water a week because of it. Re: My newly converted sunroom WARNING PICTURE HEAVY 17May 12, 2010 9:31 am What an awesome looking outdoor area! I am going to need to lift my game in the new house Depends how much direct sun it gets. Is there any shading (eaves or trees)? If the sun hits a window directly it doesn't matter too much if it's double or single… 1 12670 Well you won't get cooked by the afternoon sun when sitting out on the balcony on a summers afternoon but you won't have much to look at besides the neighbours… 4 3761 i think option 2 is much better with easy access to the garden without having to walk through the new sunroom which makes it a better room for guests and TV .a simple… 2 8232 |
