Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Oct 09, 2009 10:23 am Hi all, I got a call from the place that we did our tile selections at yesterday saying the bathroom, en suite, toilet and laundry tile is now not available!! NOT HAPPY. After going in there to pickup some new samples to take home to my GF they left me with the paper work while they found the samples out the back. I flicked through the papers and found an email saying that they had to take 17m2 for another job and that we will have to do re-selections! Has anyone been in this situation before? I would be ok if they didnt have the stock but from the email it looks like they put the stock aside of us and they took it for someone else. The samples they gave us look nothing like the original tile, does anyone have any advice on the situation? Thanks in advance!! I agree that if they were discontinued or didnt have any stock it would be different situation that taking yours to give to someone else. Good luck with making new choices, let us know how it goes. I had to reselect bricks, tiles and now have just this week reselected my carpet. It is also very difficult when you have had your heart set on the colours you have chosen and its hard to let go (seeing that email would have upset me too) However, with every re-selection I am very much happier with the final result than I think I would have been with the original! Sometimes these things can happen for a reason. (although i'm still 'grieving' over my charcoal carpet!). Good luck and I hope you end up being happy with your new choices:-) How much are you ahead in payments compared to where the build is at? Have you fully drawn down the loan? 5 9156 9 19162 This is one of the reasons I decided to go overseas for my double glazed windows. As the builder indicated, he's worked on many upmarket builds, these were the most well… 13 15091 |
