Our shed is 5x6. Just to store a boat and boys tools etc.
What do you want to know about sheds? Our Adenbrook home was completed in September. Re: So where can i talk about sheds? 16Dec 01, 2007 12:24 pm Aaurora, has a forum!!!
Yayyyyy aaurora Internal and External Building and Colour Consultant Online - Worldwide http://www.denovoconcepts.com Re: So where can i talk about sheds? 17Dec 02, 2007 8:33 pm Where to start ....
ok I have no idea how to erect a structure from scratch and don’t really have the cash to get the job done start to finish. I have only ever done internal stuff, direct sub contracting or doing bits and pieces myself. Ok here is the story. Want to build a little under 6 by 3m with a roller door going into the lane way. Preferably using timber rather than metal but if it’s significantly cheaper or easier to use steal at this stage I am up for it. Ideally we will use this as extra entertaining space on bbqs so probably wanting polished concrete. I think its over the no permit option which is about 10m^2 in my council so I cant just pop it up easily but the other problem is we need to put a fence up urgently as there is no back fence and it seems silly to spend cash on a fence then tear it down, also getting the cars off the street would be brilliant! My idea was to put the concrete down, put the roller door up (in that also build one of the walls required then just brace until the plans get approved. I will sketch up my plans and post them tomorrow some suggestions would be great. My biggest issues are; Where do I find out standards of timber to work out required grades for spans? Anyone knows of a timber yard to speak to about purchasing stuff given my lack of knowledge happy to pay a little more than bunnings price for assistance. Will I be able to use steal brackets into the concrete for the timber uprights or will I need to put them in from the start Is there a common size roller doors come in to plan around? Re: So where can i talk about sheds? 18Dec 02, 2007 9:23 pm Personaly, I would find it a lot easier, and possible cheaper to buy a shed in kti form, then fit the roller door. it will be easier to build, probably faster, and you can then get your fence up.
Where do you live sirgoat? Adrian B Re: So where can i talk about sheds? 19Dec 03, 2007 6:38 pm Some pricing info
5 x 6 metre shed in kit form $3800 30sqm of concrete slab - $2000 Paying someone to put it up....priceless. Actually about $1200. I actually work for a building products manufacturer so the shed company was one of our suppliers so we got a good deal on everything. But it ain't cheap. Our Adenbrook home was completed in September. Hi I am wanting some opinions about the build of a steel shed I am going to get one about 4.5 x 2.5 m steel shed and the height will be about 2.3-2.4m high The one I am… 0 14595 I work with owner, he/she is my man on the ground and I instruct them when to visit the site and take photos and I have other tools in the bag. 4 15519 |
