Browse Forums Kitchen Appliances 1 Sep 21, 2009 8:35 pm I have never owned a dishwasher but thought I should buy one for our new home. We are a 2 adult and 2 children (2 yo and 4 month old) household. We do the odd party (3-4 times a year) but will probably use disposable plates/cutlery. Do not host many dinner parties (prob at the most 2 a year) due to having small kids in house. Saw an 8 place setting 45cm dishwasher for a good price. Is that too small or shall I get the standard 60cm (12 place settings)? Re: 8 place settings dishwasher - ?too small 2Sep 22, 2009 7:24 am In my opinion.. Yes. Way too small. We are settling for a 10 setting in our new house as that is what the builder supplies. Not sure if that works? I was told the issue is the headspace clearance requirement on step 4.
